As a base for sightseeing this hotel was in a great spot. We arrived in Paris Charles de Gaulle and found the RER easy to use and took us to the Champs Elysees stop where it was a short walk to our hotel. Room was tiny! But apparently this is standard in Paris.

if you fancy a change from French cuisine, there is a Chinese restaurant about 5 doors down form this hotel and serves great, inexpensive food!

the hotel was more of a 2 star rather than 3. The location was great - right beside Arc de Triumph and metro station. Stop for Air France bus shuttle from Charles De Gaulle airport is virtually 3 min walk from the hotel.
Top Tip
The restaurants on the main streets are very expensive and not good quality at all.
The McMahon street had a nice bakery shop.

Room hot and we were unable to regulate the temperature. The bed was a little hard for me.

Chez Clement chain of restaurants are very good and reasonable with locations all over Paris and one very local (Wagram).
Lafeyette is an experience not to be missed.

the Floride and Neva Hotels were terrific with great staff, clean rooms, around the corner from the Arc de Triomphe; the hotels were in side streets that aren't attractive in Paris but the proximity to everything overrode that. these hotels were close to the Arc and I didn't have to go far to find things to do; the airport bus costs 13 euros and drops off and picks up at the Arc; it can't get easier.

The rooms in this hotel are very small but the staff here and the location of the hotel more than make up for that.

My partner and I found it hard seeing everything we wanted to see in 3 days. We used the L'Open Tour buses which are really good. The only bad thing about this was we got caught in a very bad thunder and lightning storm and everyone rushed downstairs on the bus. However we got stuck on the stairs and every time the bus turned a corner a waterfall would pour down the stair and soak us! just watch for the dark clouds, they moved in really quickly!!
