De Crillon Hotel
This is arguably one of Paris' most elegant and majestic hotels, originally built in the 18th century by order of Louis XV. A fine marbled corridor leads to the lobby, as well as rich, sumptuous public areas and a piano bar. The beautiful 18th century decor, with marble floors, pillars, high ceilings and bright crystal chandeliers, transports one back in time and is of considerable historical interest. The individually decorated guest rooms are large and in excellent condition. The bathrooms are fully marbled and are also in excellent condition. The hotel's "Les Ambassadeurs" restaurant - recently awarded two Michelin stars - is one of the finest in Paris and offers magical decor, steeped in history. By contrast, "L'Obelisque" offers a cosier, more intimate atmosphere. There is also an 18th century courtyard and a tea room.
